"The Strangers" Should Scare The Hell Out Of All Of Us
It could be the haunting masks, the location of the home being out in the middle of nowhere, or even the skipping record player. For whatever reason, the trailer for the movie The Strangers scares the bejesus out of me. Read my take on this movie and more about the actors after the Jump.
The Strangers stars Liv Tyler, Scott Speedman, and a host of masked faced 
characters, and follows the premise of a home invasion. I won’t reveal the tagline for the movie, but based on pre-screenings, this one is full of scare and suspense.
Speedman and Tyler portray a young couple who stay in an isolated vacation home, and become terrorized by something. The film debuts on May 30 in theatres. You can see the frightful trailer by clicking on the link for the movie above, or at the end of this article.
If you grew up as I did, your parents probably made sure all the doors and windows were locked and closed before everyone went to bed at night. However there were times when the house was wide open, it was dark, and you’d never expected visitors, let alone these type. This gets at the heart of one of our greatest fears, and is what seems to be the success of this movie.
Bryan Bertino wrote and directed this film, and it is said to be loosely based on true events. And I thought these were the imaginings of just one sick mind (smile).
Horror hottie Scott Speedman is just coming off the heels of production for a movie called Adoration, a drama, and the thriller Anamorph of which he’s paired with the amazing Willem Dafoe.
Liv Tyler has completed her role in the latest installment of The Incredible Hulk (the Ed Norton version…) which is tapped for a June release. I’m glad to see Speedman has gotten back to horror, and he brought (who will always be) my favorite LOTR actor along for the ride. I’m gushing over this one.

where are all the black and chinese people in all these hauntings… the spirits prefer to spook white people?
