The Screamstress - Horror & Paranormal

The Fall Horror Network TV Preview

by Alexandra on August 25th, 2008

We are just a few weeks away from the Fall TV season, and I for one am excited about the new shows, and the old favorites.

Here’s a look at some of what we can expect:

New Shows

True Blood

True Blood is a new HBO series, based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris, and is all about vampires and humans co-existing in a small Louisiana town. Vampires live in the open, and survive on a synthetic blood-like substance, created by the Japanese.

A telepathic waitress falls in love with a hot vampire that lives in the town. Maybe Moonlight fans will flock to this one. Sounds like a perfect town for vampires and humans alike, if you don’t mind a little “undead” humor.

Old Favorites

Supernatural

Supernatural’s Season 4 begins on September 18! Sam and Ruby failed to save Dean, and he has been called to Hell. No doubt, fans are looking forward to what happens to Sam now that his brother is gone (or is he?), and left to fight demons on his own. I’m looking forward to the music in this new season for sure. Supernatural airs on Thursdays at 9:00 PM on the CW.

Ghost Whisperer

Ghost Whisperer begins its Season 4 on October 3. Last we left it, Melinda found out why her dad left, why he came back, and a big secret from her mother. In the new season, there are some amazing effects I’ll tell you about in the next post. Ghost Whisperer airs on Fridays at 8:00 PM on CBS.

Medium

In Medium the last season ended with Allison, Joe and the girls celebrating. Allison may have her job back, and Joe seems to be getting paid for his idea. Medium airs on Mondays at 10:00 PM on NBC. Also, catch all info and updates about the show over at Medium Dreams.

Reaper

In last season’s episode of Reaper, Sam, the devil’s bounty hunter, found out that he may actually be the devil’s son. Sam’s mother is seen digging up the mysterious Mr. Oliver. Reaper is actually more funny than scary, but it would be a shame not to have included a series which stars Ray Wise as the Devil. Reaper currently airs on Tuesdays, at 9:00 PM on the CW.
