Eric Swelstad’s indie Frank flick, Frankenstein Rising, is taking the Re-Animator approach to its story about a mad doctor and his attempts to reanimate the body of a convicted murderer.
Dread Central had the synopsis which goes a little something like this:
A “Descendant of Frankenstein” variant, in which a member of the original doctor’s latter-day gene pool becomes obsessed with his/her ancestor’s experiments and proceeds to replicate them, right down to the inevitable blood and gore – Frankenstein Rising (due for release in 2010) plays on the Gothic aspects of the story’s cinema tradition and takes the “Re-Animator” path in terms …read more
