If ‘Buffy the Vampire’s’ Faith and Buffy Had a Baby…
December 30, 2009 by Alison
I’ve always been fascinated by twins and other strange anomalies of nature. When Buffy the Vampire star Alyson Hannigan (Willow) posted this picture on her Twitter account, I got totally spooked.
Alyson wrote of the picture, “If Eliza and Sarah were combined into one person…” Yep, that looks like Alyson standing next to a Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Faith (Eliza Dushku) hybrid. And what are the chances of randomly meeting someone like that? Bizarro world!
Maybe Joss Whedon can recover from Dollhouse sadness by casting this chick in a new Buffy script. It seemed to be the only show that didn’t …read more
Happy Friday the 13th
In celebration of every spooky kid’s favorite 13th day of the year, here are a few Friday the 13th factoids for your reading pleasure.
*Any month’s 13th day will fall on a Friday if the month starts on a Sunday
*Joss Whedon’s show Dollhouse aired its pilot on February 13, 2009 which obviously proved to be unlucky for him.
*There is a superstition, thought to derive from the Last Supper or a Norse myth, that having thirteen people seated at a table will result in the death of one of the diners.
*There will be a sequel to the Platinum Dunes produced Friday the 13th remake. This …read more
‘The Cabin in the Woods’ Gets Bumped
Poor Joss Whedon. The second season of Dollhouse has sucked as far as ratings go and now his new movie The Cabin in the Woods is being bumped to a January 14, 2011 release date. Usually January is where movies go to die, hmmm…
The film, directed by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) and co-written with Joss, is also going 3D. Eh. The Cabin in the Woods stars Chris Hemsworth, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, Kristen Connolly, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams and Brian White. The story is a new twist on the classic “stranded in the woods” plot.
You can see the other posters …read more

July 30, 2009 by Alison
Here are the awesome new posters from the Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard flick, The Cabin in the Woods due out February 5, 2010. Joss Whedon hits the nail on the head every time so I’m really looking forward to this one. Drew Goddard is directing and has collaborated with Joss on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but is probably best known for Cloverfield.
The Cabin in the Woods is distributed by MGM and stars Chris Hemsworth, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, Kristen Connolly, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams and Brian White. The film puts a new twist on the classic “stranded in …read more
Screamstress Interview: Joss Whedon of “Dollhouse”
February 25, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
I had the opportunity to talk with Joss Whedon, creator of “Dollhouse” and many other shows and movies, including “Firefly” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (which I’m just watching for the first time, and loving it). And I can’t leave out the smash-hit musical internet series, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.”
“Dollhouse,” which airs on Fox, Friday nights at 9 p.m., revolves around a futuristic lab (the “dollhouse”) where various people (the “dolls”) are implanted with false memories and skills in order to complete assignments. When the assignments are done, their memories are wiped clean until the next assignment.
Joss Whedon’s Latest Horrors
November 30, 2008 by Alexandra
Writer/Director Joss Whedon has a new greenlit project, Cabin In The Woods. So far no word on actual plot or cast, but we do know the script was co-written by Joss Whedon, the film is to be directed by Drew Goddard, and it is set for release on October 23, 2009.
This is Whedon’s possibly brief return to horror, and definitely worth a look.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer might be headed our way via the big screen according to some press at Moviehole.net Cast members had only envisioned a “return” to the story if there was possibility of a big …read more
