"Shiver": Horror DVD Release & Free Screening
Alvaro Augustine, who produced The Orphanage and Pan’s Labyrinth has presented us his work on the latest Spanish horror film, Shiver (aka Eskalofrio), and it’s been tapped for a release to video for October 28. Here is Eskalofrio (the Spanish version of the trailer), however, you can see Shiver (the English version) at ShiverTheFilm.com:
Shiver is about a teenage boy named Santi who moves to the high mountains with his mother to get relief from his sensitivity to sunlight.
Once there, strange things begin to happen in the forests of the village, and soon he must face this darkness, while at the same time, reveal a secret about himself.
The film is directed by Isidro Ortiz. Quiet Earth has managed a nice review, and tells that the film is surprisingly unique, and that it has a few familiar elements…in a good way (Donnie Darko, The Blair Witch Project)
By the way, Bloody-Disgusting is offering FREE tickets for a special screening of Shiver in Hollywood, on Thursday. September 25. Head over there to get the details.
