The Heat On The Happening

Mark Wahlberg and director M. Night Shymalan Whether you believe in global warming or not, there are some Weather Guys who believe that M. Night Shyamalan might be in cahoots with Al Gore and his Inconvenient Truth, secretly planning a coup in the movie theatres with his new film, The Happening.

Well, they are just pointing out that his movie is taking advantage of the global warning theme. Who knows, this may be his scariest film yet. After all, there are lots of companies that want us all on the green bandwagon, and plenty of takers.

I’m a fan of Shyamalan’s movies, and I don’t see anything wrong with him using a global warming theme to scare us. I’m sure his film will probably be more entertaining than seeing Gore’s fact-based documentary. That in my opinion, will never beat Mark Wahlberg as a school teacher, looking all vulnerable and sensitive amid the backdrop of the world possibly coming to an end.

The Strangers Weight Loss Plan

As many in Hollywood, and the rest of us seek that elusive weight loss Liv Tyler, star of "The Strangers" miracle, Liv Tyler says she’s found it. No it does not involve leeches (sorry, Demi). It does involve having creepy mask-wearing strangers trying to kill you.

OK, she actually said that running around on the set of her new movie, The Strangers, is what did it. The word is that she lost 10 pounds while filming, due to the high level of scare she was in during production. This sounds a lot more exciting than those crazy meal cards.
