Dark Shadows - The Movie?

Fans of Barnabas Collins and the series, Dark Shadows must be squealing in delight, as Tim Burton has been confirmed to direct the cinema remake, amid swirling rumors that Johnny Depp will portray the fanged lead, Collins.

I was lucky to see a few reruns of this gothic series when I was a kid, and have to admit, it gave me more than a few nightmares about gothic castles and ghosts. Whether you consider it cult or camp, there was nothing like it then. So far, no official word on cast, but the fact that it’s coming is pure excitement.

The Horror of Hulu

In case you haven’t been over to Hulu.com, it’s an online video service that offers TV shows, clips and movies for free. The offerings change often, but one thing that hasn’t is that good horror is always available. Here’s a short list of some of the titles available, and these are full episodes:

Coster-Waldau Does Virtuality

Well, the show must go on, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has to work just like everyone else. Now that New Amsterdam, the series about the detective who is also an immortal, has been canceled, Coster-Waldau is to be the lead in Fox’s new 2 hour series pilot, Virtuality. Written by Battlestar Galactica’s Ron Moore, and directed by Peter Berg, Virtuality is about the Earth’s first starship.
