The Screamstress - Horror & Paranormal

New Horror Reality Stuff From Sci-Fi

by Alexandra on July 21st, 2008

Sci-Fi has just released their new project roster, and it’s looking “really” scary, Sci-Fi - USA as in reality shows! Nice to see some new scary projects for the horror fans!

The first one, Estate of Panic has been given a greenlight!. It features haunted house terror. The second, Soul Evidence is still in the works. It weaves psychic investigation and cold case murders.

ESTATE OF PANIC

It features six 1-Hour Episodes and premieres November 2008. From the producers of Fear Factor comes the most physically and psychologically challenging competition yet - Estate Of Panic. In each episode, large quantities of cash are hidden in a massive estate and seven strangers are invited to find the money. But all is not what it seems, and the contestants will be challenged throughout the mansion to overcome the terrors that await them. After each of the three challenges, two people are eliminated and their winnings are added into the prize pot. The last person standing walks away with everyone’s found money.

SOUL EVIDENCE (working title)

Real life inspiration for NBC’s Medium Allison Dubois leads a team of psychics, scientists and investigators to solve cold case murders.

So what do you think? Estate of Panic reminds of the film, House on Haunted Hill. I wonder how the strangers are eliminated? Soul Evidence sounds pretty serious, and since it features the real Allison Dubois, we are in for a treat.

Estate of Panic does sound something like House on Haunted Hill… but maybe I’ll check it out.

I doubt I’ll watch Soul Evidence since I’m not really into psychics.

But I would like to see something like MTV’s Fear or VH1’s Celebrity Paranormal Project again! With less fake noises and tunnel-shaking of course.
