NBC Debuts "Fear Itself" This Summer
NBC debuts its Lionsgate horror anthology series, Fear Itself this summer. 13 episodes are tapped, and will include work from such showrunners as John Landis, Darren Bouseman, and Re-Animator’s Stuart Gordon.
In an attempt to break what has been referred to as the “curse on broadcast television anthology series”, NBC executives are excited about the network pushing “the boundaries of this classic genre”, according to Entertainment executive VP, Teri Weinberg. It seems they will market this series accordingly, and give it the respect it deserves. Here’s the scoop on production, and the amazing list of talent after the cut:
Pre-production began last December, and shooting took place in Edmonton and Alberta. Lionsgate is the heart behind Showtime’s Masters of Horror, and NBC’s last project, Masters of Science Fiction.
Talent On Tap for NBC’s Fear Itself

| Ronny Yu | Director | Freddy vs. Jason |
| Brad Anderson | Director | The Machinist |
| Breck Eisner | Director | Upcoming Creature From the Black Lagoon remake |

| Ernest Dickerson | Director | NBC’s Heroes |

With all the talent behind this project, it’s bound to be well received in the horror community, and it may even raise a few eyebrows of viewers who don’t expect this sort of horror fun and focus on NBC. Who knows, this could be the “Christmas in July” us horror fans have been pining for on regular network TV.
