"Moonlight" Officially Canceled - Horror Kicked In The Rear…Again!
Official word of cancellation of the CBS series, Moonlight has come down the pike today. Word was sent to Kristin over at E!Online. No reason was given, however a “heartfelt hug” was extended, as well as words such as “wonderful characters”, and thanks to loyal fans. What a bummer for those who have spent their time loving this wonderful show. Even when I wondered about the chances of the show, I always felt that CBS would be blind to cancel it. Another show with another built-in fan base…gone.
So far, there are 167 comments on the thread over there, and I’m sure there will be many more. Some have made a few not-to-nice comments about CBS, and most are expressions of disbelief that the show is gone. Others have named other CBS series, that are in their opinion, not so worthy of renewal, and yet Moonlight was canceled.
It’s always scary to me when a network steps into the realm of the supernatural, because you always wonder when the show will get thrown under the bus for some flighty sitcom, or another news show. The one time it didn’t happen was during what I call the era of Buffy on the WB, but that’s another post. Anyway, feel free to commiserate here about Moonlight being canceled, and join what the fans have already started over at E!Online. What a shame!
