Merry Bloody Christmas

I love when scary movies come out at Christmas time. To fling out gore and mayhem during this sacred, sweet time is just so ballsy. And really, wouldn’t a horror movie be scarier now, than at Halloween, when the scary is expected?
Once, when my third grade teacher asked the class to share their favorite holiday movie, I cheerfully replied “Silent Night, Deadly Night!” Well, it was my favorite. When I started explaining in full detail just what Santa Claus was up to in that movie, some girl cried and I had to stand in the corner. It was so worth it.
It looks like there may be good news for disgruntled modern-horror-movies-suck fans like me: Wolf Creek opens on Christmas day, and from current reviews, it’s supposed to be stellar.
Pleasepleaseplease let it be true. I can’t take another horror disappointment.

Can’t wait to hear what you thought of Wolf Creek, I loved it. It’s doing wonders for the West Australian Tourism industry (not)!

Hi Kestrel! He is scary, isn’t he? :)
Kay–good one! :) I definitely don’t want to backpack through Australia anytime soon. I’ve seen some pre-edited scenes, but for some reason my town hasn’t gotten the movie yet! I’ll have to hunt it down somewhere.
