Where is the absolute best place you could be this weekend, the absolute best? Sipping a tropical drink on a Hawaiian beach? Nope. Entertaining friends on your own luxury yacht? Hardly. Simultaneously having the best sex of your life as you roll around on a giant pile of money you just won downstairs in the casino? Puh-leez. The correct answer is the World Horror Convention, baby!
This weekend in San Francisco, the ghoulish and macabre will rejoice among movies, literature, art, and wares of the sinister and spooky. Notable horror icons including author Peter Straub will be there, and I should be too. Well, maybe next year.
