Haylie Duff Stretches Horror Muscles In TV’s "Backwoods"
Haylie Duff is to star in Spike TV’s original horror movie, Backwoods. It 
debuts at 9:00 PM on Sunday June 8.
In this film, her character (Lee) and her office pals head out to a week-long wilderness trip in the remote Northern California woods for paintball.
While there, they encounter some cult members who decide to teach these city dwellers some lessons of their own.
Backwoods has been called a horror movie, and although it does air on Spike TV which is known for portraying some gritty programming, I’m wondering how much horror is truly there. It could be more psychological horror but definitely worth a look.
23 year-old Duff said in an interview that her character in Backwoods is a strong character, and not the typical female horror girl that just screams a lot before getting killed. It seems Haylie has a healthy respect for horror, and acting in general. You can read her interview here.
Backwoods is directed by Marty Weiss (Vampires: The Turning), and also stars Jonathan Chase, Willow Geer, and John Hemphill.
