"Cirque Du Freak’s" Latest Film Image Features John C. Reilly
I’m willing to bet that if you’re a fan of Twilight, you may have already been a fan of the books, and new movie for Cirque Du Freak, which debuts in February 2009.
Cirque Du Freak the movie reveals a scary vision of a 14 year-old boy who attends a traveling side show and meets a vampire (Mr. Crepsley…pronounced creepsly).
He unavoidably breaks a 200 year-old truce between two warring factions of vampires, and now must leave his normal life as a human behind, and take his place (and his fate) with the rest of the show. Stars in this film include John C. Reilly, Willem Dafoe, Salma Hayek, Ken Watanabe, and Jane Krakowski. Reilly (Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story) is tapped to portray the character Larten Crepsley, and Chris Kelly for the boy, Darren.
Much of the movie was lensed in parts of New Orleans, and some in LA. I think Reilly is a great choice as Mr. Crepsley, although I do take issue with the beautiful Salma Hayek as the bearded at will lady.
The film is based on the first three books of the Cirque Du Freak series, written by author Darren Shan. The movie hits the big screen in February 2009, which gives all the story hawks a chance to “read up” if you’d like to this summer. I highly recommend the first book!
