As soon as one ends another begins. Yes, it’s already time to start looking at the new installment in the Twilight saga, Eclipse.

Do my eyes deceive me or is the man who once starred in front of the camera as one of Anne Rice’s romantic vampires, Brad Pitt, going to produce a vampire film? Nice! Summit Entertainment wants to leave their mark on the vampire genre and will be working with Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B in a new film franchise, Vlad.

Twilight: New Moon opens this Friday, November 20 but Eclipse, the third film in the series, is currently in post-production–gearing up for a June 30, 2010 release date. With the insane popularity of the films it’s no surprise that people are already starting to talk about Eclipse. MTV recently reported that Goth God Peter Murphy from Bauhaus will be making a camera appearance in the film. Entertainment Weekly recently interviewed the stars of Twilight: New Moon for their November 13 issue. Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson chat about the usual including Pattinson’s hair. “I sound so stupid, but in a lot of ways the hair is 75 percent of my performance,” Pattinson says. Twilight fans will be happy to see these first images of the Volturi–a clan of vampires that enforce the laws in their world. Check out the image gallery after the jump. The clan is portrayed by Christopher Heyerdahl, Jamie Campbell Bower, Charlie Bewley and Dakota Fanning. They can be recognized by their blood-red eyes.

Just a quick note here on the some of the Twilight goings-on. As you know, between the movie premiere, and all the amazing interviews and appearances, the male lead, Robert Pattinson (RPatzz) has been everywhere on the media circuit.

In this interview, he doesn’t talk about his role in Little Ashes, but he does go into the experiences of being so popular. Other stars have done it, and evidently, fans and movie makers are not squeamish about their favorite stars portraying homosexuals. Robert Pattinson, star of the upcoming teen vampire romance film, Twilight, is set to portray the artist Salvador Dali in the Paul Morrison film, Little Ashes.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Summit Entertainment is putting the next two Twilight sequels in the production pipeline. The Twilight books, New Moon and Eclipse, will have screenplays penned by Melissa Rosenberg. The screenplay for the third book, Breaking Dawn does not yet have a writer.
In New Moon, the main character Bella befriends and seeks solace with a werewolf after Edward leaves town to protect her from other vampires. In Eclipse, Bella faces a tough decision regarding the love of her life, and must choose. In Breaking Dawn, Edward and Bella face the uncommon challenges of marriage. …read more
