V TV: Vincent Price Video Bonanza

No Halloween is complete without seeing, hearing or watching something with Vincent Price. The man is a horror legacy and yesterday I shared a special video I found called Read, Write and Draw with Vincent Price. The show appeared on the Disney Channel in 1988 and ended in 1990, three years before his death. It may surprise some of you that Price attended Yale School of Art and owned an extensive collection of works which were eventually turned into the Vincent Price Art Gallery. The gallery still thrives today and contains over 2,000 pieces.

Ti West Interview: ‘Dead & Lonely’ Stills and Exclusive Preview

Yesterday I told you about Ti West’s latest project, Dead & Lonely set to premiere on IFC.com Monday, October 26 at Noon ET/PT. I spoke with Ti today to find out more about the web series which centers around two lonely Los Angeles singles(Justin Rice & Paige Stark), brought together via an Internet dating website, DateOrDie.net. Catch is, one of them is a vampire. West blends the classic vampire mythos with a tale of modern loneliness in this dark, comedic short.
I think the web series is a flexible and exciting new medium. What appeals to you about this format?

‘Night of the Demons’ Still Images

Take a look at some of the still images from the Night of the Demons remake, directed by Adam Gierasch and co-written with Jace Anderson (Autopsy). I know she’s supposed to be in her Halloween costume but Angela (Shannon Elizabeth) looks like a Hot Topic reject. Couldn’t they come up with something more original? And yay for Ed Furlong staying sober long enough to complete this project. If pictures don’t lie, it seems they’re keeping the infamous lipstick scene in the film. Boobies and lip goo–perfect together.
Night of the Demons stars Edward Furlong, Shannon Elizabeth, Monica Keena, and horror hottie Tiffany Shepis …read more

A few stills of the season finale of True Blood were released! Maryann looks like a proper Maenad, Charlaine Harris makes an appearance at the bar and Bill and Sookie dance the night away. If you were watching True Blood on Sunday night, you probably noticed the teaser for the season finale had the song Corrupt by Depeche Mode as the backing track. Depeche Mode + True Blood is so deelish–enjoy the video below!
The final episode titled, Beyond Here Lies Nothin, is the Bob Dylan song used in the season 2 promotional video. The lyrics are appropriate:
I love you pretty baby

Freddy at Comic-Con

Brad Fuller, producer for the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, has been keeping fans up to date on Twitter.  He tweeted a week ago that the movie officially wrapped and posted these set photos of Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner and director Samuel Bayer.
If you’re going to San Diego’s Comic-Con next week, be on the lookout for Jackie Earle Haley in full Freddy makeup.  Just a few days ago, Fuller tweeted, ”comic con is looking good. I can tell you this for sure- Freddy will be there.”
A Nightmare on Elm Street is due to be released on April 16, 2010.
