A young woman seeks out the mundane after a troubled past and finds peace in a hospital alone at night, collating patient records. That is, until a series of unsettling events leads her to believe the hospital may be connected to a number of recent murders in the area. To get to the truth, Roslyn must solve the mystery of her own disturbing past.
The first clips for UK horror-thriller Psych:9 were released earlier this month and I recently had the opportunity to talk with director Andrew Shortell about the film that stars Sara Foster (The Big Bounce) as Roslyn, Cary …read more

December 21, 2009 by Alison
Even though I will never be able to forgive Brett Eisner for attempting to remake The Brood, I’m actually kind of interested in seeing his remake of The Crazies, which Overture Films is releasing February 26, 2010.
There are some new one sheet images floating around which I caught on Dread Central today. Check out this one which features a nasty looking pitchfork. Mmm. Pitchfork.
The remake of George A. Romero’s 1973 film stars Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, Joe Reegan, Danielle Panabaker, Joe Anderson and Justin Welborn. The original film tells the story an accidental release of a military biological weapon in an American …read more

Director Andrew Shortell and writer Lawrence Robinson are behind the new horror-thriller, Psych:9, starring Sara Foster (‘The Big Bounce’), Cary Elwes (‘Saw’), Michael Biehn (‘Aliens’) and Gabriel Mann (‘The Bourne Supremacy’). I wonder if Cary gets to keep his foot this time around.

New Zombie Short ‘Chemical 12-D’
I love being introduced to independent filmmakers in the horror world because it’s a good reminder that there really is more to the scene than the sludge being churned out by studio execs. Thanks to Stu from Buy Zombie, I was directed to the work of Chicago filmmaker Mac Eldridge and his new zombie short Chemical 12-D.
The story surrounds Michael Frank who has been living alone in a post apocalyptic world for some time. He tries to cope with his new existence by searching for a cure that will end the zombie outbreak. One day, he comes across a newly …read more
