HBO Casts Last Major Role for ‘True Blood’
The last new major role for the upcoming third season of HBO’s True Blood has been filled by actress Brit Morgan of The Middleman. She will be playing part of Debbie Pelt on Alan Ball’s vampire series.
Morgan’s character Debbie is Alcide’s (Joe Mangiello) ex-girlfriend, who isn’t fond of Sookie (Anna Paquin). Hey, at least I have something in common with this new character! Morgan’s character on The Middleman is Lacey Thornfield, a hipster art nerd. I’ve never seen the show before, but the YouTube clips I found about it feature dancing bears. Hmmm…
Morgan joins a slew of new cast additions, …read more
‘The Violent Kind’ Producer Gets ‘Stripped’
January 28, 2010 by Alison
The Butcher Brother’s latest feature, The Violent Kind, was one of Sundance’s most anticipated films for horror fans and now the film’s producer, Jeffrey Allard, is ready to work on a new indie feature, Stripped. Allard will be teaming up with producer Adam Donaghey for what is being described as a “post-feminist horror film.”
Stripped is being written by Justina Walford and John Wildman. This marks Wildman’s first time in the director’s chair, after recently giving up his position as Head of Press and Public Relations at AFI. Allard has confirmed that scream queen hottie, Tiffany Shepis (Night of the Demons …read more
Rock and Roll Horror Cheese in ‘Suck’ Clips
Rob Stefaniuk’s rock and roll vampire comedy, Suck, features cameos by Iggy Pop, Moby, Alice Cooper and Henry Rollins with Malcolm McDowell and Dave Foley starring in the film. All this equates to some cheese-tastic good times and as Bloody-Disgusting points out, you get exactly what you pay for with this one.

Is There Really Another ‘Lost Boys’ Movie?
January 7, 2010 by Alison
Corey Feldman (and his hair) has been a familiar face in my city before. Seeing him always made me chuckle because I could smell the desperation from a mile away. I don’t generally make it a habit to pick on celebrities–it’s too easy, but Feldman’s new Lost Boys: The Thirst photos featured on Arrow in the Head made me feel kind of bad for the aging D-list celebrity.
The Thirst is currently filming in South Africa with Dario Piana directing a script by Evan Charnov. Corey Feldman returns as Edgar Frog, now a veteran vampire-hunter and surfboard shaper. A wealthy romance …read more

January 4, 2010 by Alison
If you ever doubted that HBO’s True Blood wasn’t a soap opera in vampire’s clothing then all the casting news these past few months should totally cinch the deal for you. It looks like Season 3 of Alan Ball’s popular show will be loaded with lots of hot fresh meat. This is no insult to the show, I’m totally digging it–but let’s just call it like it is already.
Enter new cast member Kevin Alejandro, the Southland co-star who is expected to appear in almost every episode of the third season. Don’t wet your panties just yet ladies, his character Jesus …read more
If ‘Buffy the Vampire’s’ Faith and Buffy Had a Baby…
December 30, 2009 by Alison
I’ve always been fascinated by twins and other strange anomalies of nature. When Buffy the Vampire star Alyson Hannigan (Willow) posted this picture on her Twitter account, I got totally spooked.
Alyson wrote of the picture, “If Eliza and Sarah were combined into one person…” Yep, that looks like Alyson standing next to a Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Faith (Eliza Dushku) hybrid. And what are the chances of randomly meeting someone like that? Bizarro world!
Maybe Joss Whedon can recover from Dollhouse sadness by casting this chick in a new Buffy script. It seemed to be the only show that didn’t …read more

Well, let me force upon you another new cast member, whose werepanther roots may or may not be an element to the storyline for the third season of HBO’s True Blood.
