I gave you a hint about this in July and today I am beyond excited by the news that Tim Burton has officially signed on for a remake of the popular vampire soap opera, Dark Shadows–set to film in 2010. Equally exciting but not surprising is confirmation of Johnny Depp in the role of lead vampire Barnabas Collins. I’m sure we’ll be seeing some of the other usual suspects and that’s ok by me. Video: Caspian’s Barnes Takes On Horror’s Dorian Gray
If you saw Prince Caspian this weekend, and are an enamored fan of Ben Barnes (as Prince Caspian), get ready to see him in a film adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s only published novel, the gothic horror piece, The Picture Of Dorian Gray.

Thoughts On New Amsterdam’s Immortality

The plot of immortality could wear thin on a person in light of some of the other TV series we’ve seen that didn’t fare so well. However, New Amsterdam offers a look into the soul of a man, via his memories, the memories of a city, and how a person deals with them. John Amsterdam (portrayed by (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), a New York Detective, is immortal.
