Director siblings Tyler and Dennie Meyer have crafted what they are describing as part 30’s jungle adventure, part 80’s slasher and part 70’s Bigfoot documentary in their contribution to the Sasquatchploitation genre, The Legend of Grassman.

Frank Henenlotter (Basket Case) recently revealed that he’ll be working on two new documentaries with Something Weird Video later this year. In an interview with STYD, Henenlotter talked about his new projects which will be hitting the film festivals soon.
“I have a documentary coming out this year on Herschell Gordon Lewis that I did with Something Weird Video, and we’re starting another documentary with Something Weird called That’s Sexploitation,” Henenlotter said.

First Look Studios has acquired one alt porn company’s entry into the horror genre with Suicide Girls Must Die! Judging from the trailer for the film, you’ll probably end up wishing yourself dead, but at least you’ll be able to perv out to some cute girls. Troma has picked up the Bob Gray’s 2006 Sasquatchploitation flick, Bigfoot. The film will be released on DVD March 30 with a “different, improved upon cut” than one that was screened prior to its release. The distribution comes after a now defunct company left it hanging for several years.
Bigfoot tells the tale of a single dad who returns to his hometown only to find an angry Sasquatch slaughtering everything in its path. You can check out Bob Gray’s acting chops in the film, which actually attempts to explore some serious topics, particularly deforestation.
