The Fall Horror Network TV Preview
We are just a few weeks away from the Fall TV season, and I for one am excited about the new shows, and the old favorites.
Here’s a look at some of what we can expect:
New Shows
True Blood
True Blood is a new HBO series, based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris, and is all about vampires and humans co-existing in a small Louisiana town. Vampires live in the open, and survive on a synthetic blood-like substance, created by the Japanese.
A telepathic waitress falls in love with a hot vampire that lives in the town. Maybe Moonlight …read more
Moonlight: Down But Not Out?
June 12, 2008 by Alexandra
Despite Sci-Fi Channel’s recent and apparent rebuff to fan requests to pick up the series, Moonlight, fans are not giving up. Rallies have taken place, and there’s even one scheduled for June 14 in Oregon, according to Kandyegirl’s Alex O’Loughlin Fan blog.
I guess it’s kind of hard to give up on such an amazing show, especially when another network, TNT, has now shown some interest in the show (according to Moonlight-United.com). Although CBS has gotten a lot of flack from the fans so far, the strategy seems to be to concentrate on bringing back the show on some network. …read more
"S. Darko" Gets Alex O’ Loughlin
May 23, 2008 by Alexandra
S. Darko is the sequel to the critically acclaimed movie, Donnie Darko, and it’s been reported at Alex O’Loughlin Online that O’Loughlin is set for a role in this sequel.
The film, S. Darko, directed by Chris Fischer, follows Donnie’s sister Samantha, who has some strange visions with her friend Corey as they take a road trip to Los Angeles. The film will star Daveigh Chase as Samantha, Ed Westwick, Briana Evigan, and Justin Chatwin.
Honestly, I’m really excited about the sequel, and having O’Loughlin as a part of it is pretty cool too. Although I’m also a fan of the …read more
"Moonlight" Officially Canceled – Horror Kicked In The Rear…Again!
May 13, 2008 by Alexandra
Official word of cancellation of the CBS series, Moonlight has come down the pike today. Word was sent to Kristin over at E!Online. No reason was given, however a “heartfelt hug” was extended, as well as words such as “wonderful characters”, and thanks to loyal fans. What a bummer for those who have spent their time loving this wonderful show. Even when I wondered about the chances of the show, I always felt that CBS would be blind to cancel it. Another show with another built-in fan base…gone.
So far, there are 167 comments on the thread over there, and …read more
Screamstress: Does "Moonlight" Have a Kiss of Death?
May 12, 2008 by Alexandra
There’s some Moonlight news about, and it’s not good.
Variety editor Cynthia Littleton is reporting that insiders over at CBS are hearing that even now, season 2 for this vampy series is still not set in stone.
Not only that, there’s some speculation of another CBS series, The Unit, being placed in Moonlight’s Friday 9PM time slot.
Is it just me, or do TV series that fans seem to make the most noise about seem to always get the kiss of death? This theory is not a good one, since other CBS shows, such as Criminal Minds seems to have a …read more

Screamstress: Could We Be Wrong About Moonlight?
April 22, 2008 by Alexandra
So there I was, my notes neatly stacked and written, my pen discharged of all its ink, and I felt more than smitten with myself. I had written a nice article while at the beach, entitled, Can Moonlight Go On?. When the day came to spell check, and post it here, something was wrong. I remembered that Jason Dohring and Alex O’Loughlin were to attend the NY Comic Con on Sunday.
Would these guys blow my whole theory out of the water? How long will Moonlight last? Read my theories and compare them to Eric Goldman’s Con spoilers at …read more
