How I Met Your Mother star Joe Manganiello has been cast in a recurring role on HBO’s True Blood. He’ll be playing Alcide Herveaux, a ‘hot and sexy alpha male werewolf.’ Yes please. Apparently he’ll be another love interest for Sookie, but she said I could borrow him from time to time.

Manganiello joins a slew of newbies on the show including, Cooper Huckabee as Sam’s dad, J. Smith-Cameron as Sam’s estranged mother, Alfre Woodard as Lafayette’s mom and more.

In other words, this game could be anything big or small. If you’re a fan of the show, I’m sure you’ll be on it like white on rice. What kind of game are you hoping for?

Screenwriter Michael Dougherty’s (X2, Superman Returns) feature directorial debut Trick ‘r Treat has been sitting on the shelf for almost two years despite great reviews from several screenings. On October 6 audiences will finally be able to catch Trick ‘r Treat on Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and digital download. Maryann looks like a proper Maenad, Charlaine Harris makes an appearance at the bar and Bill and Sookie dance the night away. If you were watching True Blood on Sunday night, you probably noticed the teaser for the season finale had the song Corrupt by Depeche Mode as the backing track. Leading vampires Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer from HBO’s popular True Blood are engaged. The news was leaked to People magazine exclusively today.
Anna Paquin, originally from New Zealand, plays telepathic Sookie Stackhouse on the show. Many of you will remember her as a child in The Piano for which she won a 1994 Supporting Actress Oscar.
Moyer, originally from Essex, England, plays vampire Bill Compton on the series. He also has two children from previous relationships: a son, Billy, born in 2000, and a daughter, Lilac, born in 2002.
