AVPR - MTV Award "Best Fight Scene" Winner…No Fair!
Last night’s live premier of MTV’s 2008 Movie Awards was on, and I watched mainly because of the horror movie nomination for The Best Fight Scene, the scene between Alien vs. Predator in Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. Check out the video below, and decide if these two monsters were treated fairly after the jump:
The contenders were fight scenes from the films, The Bourne Ultimatum, Spider Man 3, Jumper, Never Back Down, and Rush Hour 3. Although we’ve seen some or most of these movies, some of us may have felt it was unfair to pit a scene between two bonafide and intelligent monsters in with these other guys…these humans. After all, none of the other fighters have acidy spit, or are fighting on a totally different planet from their home worlds.
The winner of the Best Fight was Sean Faris vs. Cam Gigandet, in Never Back Down. Here’s a snippet of the actual fight scene between Alien and Predator. So watch this, and you can decide if this is more fun that seeing two humans beat each other to a pulp.
After the award show, Predator was spotted at an after-party with Kanye West, and he was quoted as saying, “If I don’t win, the award loses credibility.” :)
