‘True Blood’ Season 3 Cast Addition

I was able to overcome my True Blood addiction since Season 2 ended not that long ago but seeing the news from Dread Central today about a Season 3 cast addition got me excited for Sunday nights again. It’s not really that I know much about Marshall Allman who will be joining the HBO cast. It’s sadly just the mere mention of True Blood in the news. Don’t judge me.

You have probably seen Allman in Prison Break, a show I have yet to watch. Am I missing anything? Dread reports that he will be a regular player in the third season as Tommy Mickens, Sam Merlotte’s (Sam Trammell) long-lost younger brother who works at a tire depot in Arkansas. Sam has a lot to deal with now. He’s hopelessly in love with Sookie, he lost fellow shapeshifter Daphne who he started to fall in love with, he was almost meat pie for the relentless Maenad Maryann Foster and now there’s a young brother in the picture. I have not read the books yet (don’t hate!) so I’m not sure if this character is figured into the storyline already or is brand new. Where do you see things headed?
