More New Blood for ‘True Blood’
True Blood Season 3 news keeps on rolling in! It was reported yesterday that James Frain and Alfre Woodard will be joining the cast in recurring roles and it looks like Tara and Lafayette will have a new piece to their puzzle.
James Frain, star of The Tudors and 24, will be playing Franklin Mott, who according to EW’s Ausiello Files is “…a tall dark, and handsome vampire who seems to have an “immediate and torrid” connection to Tara.” Apparently his character in the books is a sugar daddy type so we’ll see how Alan Ball decides to adapt this character for HBO.
The Hollywood Reporter announced that Emmy-winning actress Alfre Woodard will guest star as Lafayette’s mother, which should be an interesting peek into his life. I wonder if they’ll trade makeup tips and share clothes. Tara’s mom has dished up all the mommy disapproval storyline I can take so I hope she adds something fun.
Season 3 premieres June 2010. Who are you most excited about watching this season?
