First Look at the UK Horror-Thriller ‘Psych:9′

December 17, 2009 by Alison

Director Andrew Shortell and writer Lawrence Robinson are behind the new horror-thriller,Psych9Poster Psych:9, starring Sara Foster (‘The Big Bounce’), Cary Elwes (‘Saw’), Michael Biehn (‘Aliens’) and Gabriel Mann (‘The Bourne Supremacy’). I wonder if Cary gets to keep his foot this time around.

The film gets a UK theatrical release February 5, 2010 and a small US theatrical release is expected for later next year–possibly Spring. Universal Pictures UK has acquired UK home entertainment rights to the film through its indi Vision label

In Psych:9, a young woman with a troubled past takes a job at a recently closed hospital to collate the hardcopy patient records. Working alone in the building after dark, she experiences a series of unsettling events that lead her to believe the hospital may be connected to a number of recent murders in the area. To uncover the truth, she has to solve the mystery of her own disturbing past.

Check out the image gallery below which features a previously unreleased bloody bathtub image. You can visit the film’s website to check out the director’s blog where Shortell discusses production and talks about moving into old Eli Roth’s office after he finished Hostel II. Follow the film on Twitter or become a fan on Facebook.
