Premiere Props: Movie Memories
November 1, 2009 by Alison
If you’ve ever had the burning desire to own the Halloween II breast shaped coffee mug or a
bloody bear trap from The Collector then you should be shopping online with Premiere Props–the world’s largest entertainment memorabilia store.
The folks at Premiere Props help ‘bring Hollywood home’ by selling the actual key props and costumes used in the making of your favorite films, many of which are horror. They work with some of the largest studios in the world and even sell their swag on eBay. With each purchase, you receive a special signed Certificate of Authenticity to ensure the integrity of the item. So, why are they allowed to sell this stuff?
“Due to production requirements, there may be multiple versions produced of any given item in a movie, television show or other media. An example of this can be seen with the vest worn in The Punisher. Throughout the film, The Punisher may look like he is always wearing the same vest but behind the scenes there were several versions created. These slightly different versions were worn for different scenes filmed at different times. One version needed to be clean, another ripped up and even one custom created with fake blood stains included!”
Other questions can be answered in their FAQ section.
Some of my favorite items include: Michael Myers’ bloody axe from Halloween II, a gas mask from My Bloody Valentine 3D and a jar of skin shavings from Midnight Meat Train.
Items range in price so you don’t need a lot of dough to take some movie goodness home with you. Have any of you purchased items like this before?
P.S. If you end up buying these, call me…

Wow, the bloody axe from Halloween II would be wicked to own, but then I saw the replica props from Jaws and I was done.
