If you’re unsure what black to wear with your black and want to want to drool over gorgeous gothic lovelies (men AND women) while catching up on all the latest and greatest in the gothosphere then you’re in luck. One magazine has been the go to source for gothability since 2000–Gothic Beauty Magazine.
Steven Holiday started Gothic Beauty as an Internet group and since then it has expanded into an all-knowing dark enterprise. Steven’s lovely henchwoman Ruby helps run the magazine in Portland, Oregon and despite having only two staff people, Gothic Beauty is distributed to readers world-wide. Respect.
Issue #29 just became available and features Jessica Louise Clothing, Folks Clothing, Gloomth, Dollmaker Christy Kane, Artist Adam Wallacavage, Gothic Gardening (Part 2), Jillian Venters’ Gothic Charm School, Crude Things, PopTart’s Picks and interviews with the designers from Black Peace Now and Baby The Stars Shine Bright. There are also music interviews with Lacuna Coil, Collide and Black Tape for a Blue Girl –plus music, book and product reviews.

My Gothic Beauty is a student of Anton LaVey’s “Satanic Witch”, and is a big fan of the Goth band “Radio Werewolf”.
please! i want this oh so badly!!
‘Satanic Witch’ is actually a really fun read for those who haven’t read it. It’s definitely geared toward LaVey’s own fetishes and some of it is dated but I actually found myself cracking up. Satanists DO have a sense of humor–especially LaVey who was always playing practical jokes on people, etc. Anyway, total ramble, but yeah worth a read–it’s interesting and fun.
and P.S. i have only heard a little Radio Werewolf but wasn’t one of the LaVey’s in the band. And of course Nikolas Schreck is married to Zeena–LaVey’s daughter.
