‘Carriers’ DVD Release

November 3, 2009 by Alison

If you missed seeing Paramount’s pandemic thriller Carriers, you’re not alone. The film had a limited theatrical release in the US and is going straight to DVD–set to drop for rental only (huh!?) on December 8. What’s up with films like this and Trick ‘r Treat not getting their just deserts? A film can’t be that bad when Stephen King says it’s “a beautiful thing to look at.” The DVD will be available for sale four to six weeks after its rental street date.

Determined to escape a deadly virus, four teens set out in search of an uncontaminated refuge. As they travel across the decimated landscape of America, they encounter a truth far more horrifying than the virus they are trying to survive.

Yeah…this isn’t the kind of thing I want to think about right now as I type to you from my sick bed of two weeks. But check out the trailer below.
