Netflix, Roger Corman and Joe Dante Partner for Original Online Horror Series

October 16, 2009 by Alison

Netflix, Roger Corman and Joe Dante walk into a bar…

But it’s no joke. Home Media Magazine reports that the trio have teamed up for an original online horror series, Splatter, which hits the web October 29. So far, the second Splatter episode is scheduled for a November 6 viewing and the series ends on Friday November 13. Hurray for unlucky numbers! Let’s hope the series stays somewhat lucky with the smarmy Corey Feldman (and his hair) in the title role as rocker Johnny Splatter. Johnny is a musical guru who would do anything to get ahead. Hmmm…

Director Joe Dante (The Howling, Gremlins) always has something fun to offer and ‘King of the B’s’ Roger Corman seems like a good fit for the project so I’m expecting this to lean on the comedy side of horror.

Check out Netflix for more details. Will this one be in your Netflix que?
