Haunted New Mexico Home for Sale on eBay!

October 8, 2009 by Alison

I have seen some very interesting things for sale on eBay including a vampire slayer kit, a psychic cat (oh Dad) and someone’s used RealDoll. Apparently the break up was THAT bad. Well this morning I discovered that a man in New Mexico is selling his haunted, historic adobe home in a remote New Mexico ghost town.

Josh Bond, who has owned the house for three years, owns several properties in the area including the Old Cuchillo Bar & Hotel. He decided to sell his haunted house on eBay after the West Coast Ghost and Paranormal Society investigated the property and confirmed its spooky status. Check out the video below to see more.

The home’s new owner will inherit several original furnishings that Bond believes are trigger objects for the spirits that dwell within. These include an antique wood burning stove, an antique wedding dress and a large religious shrine discovered tucked away in a back closet.

“I have no doubt that I am not alone on these properties, yet, I stay a bit cynical in part to keep my sanity. I have to live here all the time and don’t want to spook myself too bad,” says Bond. I guess he doesn’t know that according to paranormal experts, spirits often attach themselves to people and not objects. You can run but you can’t hide…

The eBay auction began on October 1, 2009, and will end on Halloween day, October 31, 2009.
