Horror Anthology "Fear Itself" Free on FEARnet

December 12, 2008 by Alexandra

Check out a behind-the scenes video here and head over to FEARnet. NBC’s horror anthology series Fear Itself is now available to watch for free at FEARnet.com and via the video on demand (VOD) service.

The series is from the creators of Masters Of Horror, and debuted this past June to some horror-starved fans who wondered if network TV was planning on taking horror seriously. Check out the episodes here at FEARnet’s Fear Itself page.

After seeing a few episodes, you probably realized the show was full of scare, gore and more blood than what you thought you’d see on NBC at night. It’s no wonder, with work from all those amazing directors that include Mary Harron (American Psycho) and Brad Anderson (The Machinist)

Episodes of Fear Itself were directed by other well-known directors such as John Landis, Darren Bouseman and Ronny Yu.

Each week new episodes will be added. I’m happy to say the first episode available is called Eater, and is directed by Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator, Masters of Horror). It stars Elizabeth Moss (Mad Men) and Stephen R. Hart.

You can also catch some of the behind-the-scenes action for these episodes. My personal favorite is Behind The Scenes of Eater, in which Stuart Gordon talks about the origins of that Cajun talking cannibalistic character, and reveals that his beginnings are based on some pretty real individuals that we’d like to forget.
