Kenyon’s "Acheron" Trailer Tells Story of Cursed God

August 10, 2008 by Alexandra

It’s not very often that I see a trailer for a book that’s engrossing, however, after seeing this dark trailer for Sherrilyn Kenyon’s latest book, Acheron (Dark Hunter, Book 12), it had my complete attention. Check out the latest trailer for this book, No. 12, in a series about warriors defending mankind against Daimons (vampires) and others who would destroy humanity:

In a story that begins 11,000 years ago, Acheron, the first dark hunter ever made, is reborn a god after being made human to escape death. Fans of the series have waited for this book in particular, as it reveals much about the main character’s past (Ash).

In the book are some quite graphic scenes of revenge, abuse, and even a bit of torture, nonetheless, many seem content according to Amazon reviews. For now, it’s unclear to me whether you’d need to read some of the first books in the series to truly enjoy this one.

I will say that Kenyon seems to have found something in this character Ash, not just magical, but a bit of a sensuous, noble creature who’s very life, though full of pain, has entranced many in this book series.

For more info, go to Kenyon’s official site, to Ash’s MySpace, or here to read an excerpt of the book.

When I saw the trailer I was really excited for a movie, but when I thought about it, it sounded less and less like a good idea. Acheron is my favorite book and it’s really good, and somehow i know they’d manage to screw it up, of ir would become like Twilight.
