Horror’s Gay Makeover & Kiefer Sutherland Talks "Mirrors"

August 7, 2008 by Alexandra

Check out some of the latest horror news, and the latest trailer from director Alexandre Aja’s film, Mirrors:

Kiefer Sutherland Talks Mirrors

24 star and horror hottie, Kiefer Sutherland sat down and talked about his character, and his latest movie, Mirrors. One compelling thing he revealed is that even without all the horror effects, the script stands alone, and tells the story of a former police officer and current family man, who discovers something very sinister in the mirrors of the mall where he works as a security guard.

Sutherland also reveals some of the insight that he and director, Alexandre Aja have about the movie, as well as what it was like to film in Romania. You can read the complete interview at ShockTillYouDrop.

Horror’s Gay Makeover

Cult director David DeCoteau, with the help of Here! Networks, will be giving some of our favorite classic horror tales a gay remake, according to THR.

Some of the films on his list include Edgar Allen Poe’s The Pit And The Pendulum, and DVD features for two ongoing series, The Invisible Chronicles and The Brotherhood. DeCoteau’s recent release of Poe’s House of Usher was redone with a gay theme as well. As to how much the films resemble their counterparts, we’ll have to see. You can read more about DeCoteau at his official site at the link above.

    Haha, wow.

I love Fall of the House of Usher! I think I could actually see it done with a gay theme….I miss Vincent Price. :(

  2. Alexandra says:

I would see “Usher” as well, as I think DeCoteau would stay true to the spirit of the film.
