Carter’s Secret "Fencewalker" Taps Supernatural’s Katie Cassidy

X-Files creator Chris Carter has been working on a secret project. This time, it’s a dark drama called Fencewalker, which stars Natalie Dormer (The Tudors), Katie Cassidy, Xzibit, Derek Magyar, and Mechad Brooks.

According to THR, no one had confirmed for a long time that the film had been in production, and there’s speculation that it could be Chris Carter’s “passion project”.

As an aside, I think it’s exciting that Katie Cassidy, who has been a regular on CW’s Supernatural as the demon Ruby has been tapped for this. I know some fans were disappointed upon hearing that she won’t be back on Supernatural (at least not in the corporeal sense, anyway (?)).

Xzibit as you may know is starring in the upcoming X-Files: I Want To Believe, and Derek Magyar is upcoming in a horror film called Train. Secrecy aside, the idea of a new dark drama from Carter is compelling, and I suspect some are impressed that Carter was able to keep things quiet for so long.

A fan has reported having images of Fencewalker production locations as well.
