What Is "TB" And Who Are The Revenant Ones?

May 27, 2008 by Alexandra

There’s an ongoing mystery surrounding sealed letters that some have tb-redseal-letter received on the Internet, which contain strange writing, and are stamped in red wax seals. Each letter was sent without a return address, and has the letters “TB” as a logo.

As a result, bloggers and others have been buzzing about the existence of this mystery, and what some believe is an ancient language used in the mailings. So far, a number of web sites have surfaced which are related to these mailings.

Cynthia at SFUniverse posted about this mystery, and I encourage you to read her post. Not only is it very intriguing, but she received an email from Bloodcopy.com directly which details their involvement. (Hmm…)

If you’d like to join in on the mystery and fun, here are sites related to this story so far:

  1. Mike Briggs says:

Patty Briggs also received a similar letter. We have a photo up on the home page. How very curious.

  2. V says:

True Blood, a new series on HBO based on Charlaine Harris’ southern vampire mysteries

  3. Mystique Makepeace says:

OK, I looked up ‘TB’ on Googel, and the only thing I could find is that it stands for ‘Turberculosis.’ I’m not sure if this helps, but it’s something.

  4. Mystique Makepeace says:

Mystique here again. Right now I’m at school and I have a teacher who’s an expert on Asian languages, so I’ll show her the letters and see if she knows what they say. I’ll get back to you soon and post my findings.
Oh God, I REALLY want to get that Mercy’s Garage shirt!!!

  5. Mystique Makepeace says:

Alright, my teacher has looked at it, but she dosen’t know what it means. She says the seal is definately Chinese, and the black lettering is probably a series of pictures or some sick, twisted form of Arabic (this is what Patty’s letter apears to look like anyway.)

  6. Kattie says:

Does anybody know if this whole thing has run its course? ’cause I’ve been on the internet for the last couple of hours learning about this whole thing, and on most blogs/websites the last entry is 27th of May… Is it really just a promotion of HBO’s new serie “True Blood”??

  7. nikoli says:

if only you people knew the truth. you all are so nieve and stupid, humans. you wonder why this is in another language, maybe because we dont want you humans to know of what we speak of. leave it alone and learn your place.

  8. LadyNight says:

This is a combination cipher…more than one repeated symbol so it can be cracked but their is also more than one symbol set being used..good luck

  9. Jay says:

Is it just me that thinks it looks like two rows of differently shaped noses?

  10. LadyNight says:

the symbols are more like Heiroglyphics and Hirigana had a meeting… on the other website Chishio there is one that looks a lot like cuniform or sign language if the lines were fingers making motions…There are just so many options.

  11. Blitzcatt says:

Wouldn’t surprise me to be just for the tv series. Remember those Scarlet commercials? Same difference. Two of the letters seem to be cunieform (one about 2600 bc the other, later) but the other two seem vaguely chinese and japanese. A look at the Revanentones does connect it to the novels…although it seems to be open now, no gatekeeper countdown or anything. Any one solve the mystery?

  12. I haven’t seen Egyptian since I was a wee kid, but I swear it is similar. My husband, who grew up in Japan, also believes that it is not Asian and is more similar to Arabic.

I’ve kinda lost all my Middle Eastern friends who could translate Egyptian since the war started. Too sad. :(

    Hello, nice site :)

  14. Lea R says:

It looks like someone practicing caricatures (like British, etc) of noses.

  15. Eva says:

It is from HBO new show premiering September 7, 2008, TrueBlood. It is based on Charlaine Harris “Sookie Stackhouse” Book Series. True Blood is synthetic Blood founded by the Chinese.

  16. Alexandra says:

If it does lead to HBO’s series, I hope the show is just as compelling. I see we have some great detectives here.

  17. Jessica says:
