Scare Tactics Returns To Sci-Fi With Tracy Morgan
March 19, 2008 by Alexandra
Are you scared? Well, you should be, because you’re getting Scare Tactics again, a whole new season. Hosting this horror reality series will be funny man and actor Tracy Morgan (30 Rock, Saturday Night Live). He’s also known as the character Hustle Man on the TV series, Martin.
In case you didn’t know it, the “Are you scared, well you should be” bit is actually the tag line the unsuspecting victims get after they’ve been scared out of their wits on the show. Set up by friends and loved ones, unknowing victims are placed into extensively staged scary situations. Add special effects, hidden cameras, and voila, you have some pretty hilarious scenes.
I loved when the series was hosted by Shannon Doherty, and have included a fan video of the Big Foot episode. Now keep in mind, this episode is not nearly as realistic as others, like Monster In The Closet. The scariest one for me was called Monster in a Box. However real the special effects look to us, the victims are the real targets of the scare.
Created by Scott Hallock and Kevin Healey, Scare Tactics premiered on Sci-Fi in 2003 and ran a successful 2 seasons.
