Horrific "Night & Fog" Comic Debuts In May

How do you get inspired to create a new horror comic book? One way,
according to writer Alex Leung is to immerse yourself in Hammer soundtracks, the chilling music of James Bernard. Alex and writer Matthew Bradford have created Night & Fog, a frightful six-issue miniseries that’s available on May 28. What do you do when your community is overtaken by deadly creatures who were once your neighbors? This is the question that the series takes on, but you may not like the answer.
This series is published by Studio 407, a company which prides itself on bringing together talent from Asia and North America to further the development of the craft with a unique mixture of talent.
Night & Fog tells the story of a military experiment gone wrong off the coast of Canada, and how nearby villagers are changed into rampaging horrible creatures. A group of survivors must fight for their lives until help comes or meet a dreadful end. Could this be a monster story remade for the new generation? I think it is a cautionary tale for those who believe that playing God for the sake of anything is a good thing.
What’s different about this work? The artwork of artist Robert Castro resembles quintessential 1970’s comics. Even the coloring is unique, masterfully done by JM Ringuet. You can see an amazing preview of Night & Fog at Studio 407’s official site.
