Day Of The Dead Is Coming – In April
March 7, 2008 by Alexandra
I’m not predicting the end of the world, but the coming of a DVD! If you’re a fan of the “Dead” movies, and especially with the latest sprinting flesh-eating zombies, (and you loved Ving Rhames in Dawn Of The Dead) you cannot miss Day Of The Dead, George Romero’s latest installment directed by Steve Miner (Lake Placid, Halloween H20: 20 Years Later).
Just from seeing the trailer, I think this could be a fresh update to the “dead” theme, based on the addition of these particular actors.
The movie stars Nick Cannon (Drumline), Mena Suvari (Rumor Has It, American Pie), and Ving Rhames (I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry), and is available on April 8, on DVD. The synopsis and official trailer follow after the jump:
In this film, a small town, (Leadville, Colorado) has been infected by a mysterious virus, and the military is ordered in to enforce quarantine to stop the spread of the disease. The virus itself creates the walking dead, who crave human flesh, amid a group of survivors who are immune to the disease.
For some this sounds like your average zombie flick, but I think Nick Cannon brings a lot to the table on this one, plus, having a tough guy like Ving Rhames around is a requirement in these movies. You can check out the official trailer here:
