#8: Mutant Killer Baby of It’s Alive
Ah, the great Larry Cohen. He directs this nasty little film that most people dismiss as a fun gore-fest. Actually the movie is a rather intelligent and brave social criticism of modern society, and a devastating look at the guilt parents feel when their baby is born with something ‘wrong’ with it. Luckily, all this intelligence doesn’t get in the way of a fun-filled gore-fest!
Man, is this baby a brat! As soon as he slithers out of his mother’s womb, he slaughters the entire obstetrics team! Then he slithers out an air vent and kills a bunch more people. You go, baby!
This baby is further down on the list because although he is a major brat, he is just a baby. He can’t help the way he was born. (You think he would’ve known better by the third sequel though.)
